AI for Empowering Learning and Teaching Funding Programme

This key project, jointly organized by Hong Kong Education Bureau and Cyberport, pairs primary and secondary schools with innovative technology companies (eg. Peanut King Solution Limited) to jointly develop technologies integrating artificial intelligence or the Internet of Things. Students receive online and offline professional guidance and cutting-edge industry knowledge to cultivate their creativity and problem-solving abilities.
Project Fee: Free
Covered Subjects: Primary School Science, Computer Science, Mathematics
Secondary School STEAM fields such as ICT
Results Sharing: A results sharing seminar will be held at the end of the school year to showcase project results and practical experiences to the academic community.
A special grant scheme launched by the Hong Kong Education Bureau provides public funding to support primary and secondary schools in utilizing artificial intelligence to enhance teaching effectiveness. This funding includes purchasing AI teaching tools and resources, and subsidizing student participation in AI-related skills activities.
Funding Amount: HK$500,000 per school
Target Schools: Publicly funded primary and secondary schools (including special schools) and Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) schools
Note (1): The funding period is from the 2025/26 academic year to the 2027/28 academic year
Note (2): Approved schools must meet four specified criteria.
