2023 Robofest Hong Kong Regional Competition 🇭🇰

The 2023 Roboffest Hong Kong Regional Competition, organized by the Hong Kong Academy of Robotics, has successfully concluded. Peanut King sent representatives from one of its affiliated secondary schools, Cheung Sha Wan Catholic English Secondary School, to participate in this Roboffest Hong Kong Regional Competition. In this Roboffest Hong Kong Regional Competition, Cheung Sha Wan students participated in the Bottle Sumo event. Each team consisted of two students, and each team needed to build a robot that met the competition rules.

📌Competition Rules:

1️⃣This Hong Kong Regional Competition was a timed event, with a two-minute time limit. In the Bottle Sumo event's timed match, three water bottles were placed in the ring. The participating robots need to find the left and right water bottles in the arena as quickly as possible within a time limit and push them out of the arena. They also need to remain stationary in the arena for 10 seconds. The robot with the shortest time wins and achieves the highest ranking.

2️⃣ The competition also includes an elimination round. In the elimination round, there are two robots and one water bottle in the arena. The robot also needs to push either the water bottle or the opponent's robot out of the arena within a time limit and remain in the arena for 3 seconds to win.

Hong Kong Youth Robotics Competition Invitational Tournament 2024

On July 13th, the 2024 Hong Kong Youth Robotics Competition Invitational Tournament was successfully held. We also thank Cheung Sha Wan Catholic English Secondary School for providing the venue and equipment. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all participating schools (in no particular order): Cheung Sha Wan Catholic English Secondary School, Hong Kong Management Association Lee Kwok Po Secondary School, Yu Chun Keung Memorial Secondary School, Buddhist Tai Kwong Tsz Hang Secondary School, New Territories Heung Yee Kuk Yuen Long District Secondary School, and St. John's Primary School for their strong support of the HKJRT competition and STEAM education activities in schools.

In the lead-up to the competition, the students spent months training and preparing, utilizing their programming and engineering knowledge to create their competition robots. They continuously debugged their robots to achieve optimal performance for the competition. On the day of the competition, the students' enthusiasm, dedication, and passion for the robotics competition deeply moved us.
